38th Annual East Texas Poultry Festival Winners

Congratulations to the 2014 East Texas Poultry Festival Queen’s Court and Second runner-up Princess Macy Mayo, first runner-up Julie Garcia, and Queen Zoey Stuever as they were crowned during the Queen’s pageant.

Thank you to the East Texas Poultry Festival Queen’s court sponsor AEP/SWEPCO.

Children of the Court during the East Texas Poultry Festival Pageant were Miss Riley Hopkins and Mr. Cash Ruiz; Miss Mary-Grace Whittlesey and Mr. Tyce Scarber; and Miss Julie Bird and Mr. Ryker Tomlin.

East Texas Poultry Festival Opening Ceremonies sponsored by Farmers State Bank were held under the Big Tent at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 2. Queen Zoey Stuever and her court cut the feathers.

Congratulations to the winners of East Texas Poultry Festival Doo Dah Parade sponsored by Center Tire Company 1st place – Rope ‘em Riders, 2nd place – 1st Douglas Battery,   3rd place Captian Jesse Amason Chapter of the Sons of the Confederacy.

Congratulations to the winners of the Chicken Cooking Contest sponsored by Tyson Food. Women’s division 1st - Shelia Burch, 2nd - Ashley Newton and 3rd – Lila Akin. Mens division 1st - Will Lucas, 2nd - Elliott Minshew and 3rd - Nathan Phelps. Youth Division 1st – McKenna Williams, 2nd – Jessica Johnson and 3rd - Kelsie Waller & Asia Garrett. People’s Choice and Best Dressed winner was Will Lucas.

Congratulations to the winners of the Photography Contest held at Vision Source Optometry . Adult Best of Show – Janet Hughes; Adult People’s Choice – Janice Carter; Youth Best of Show and Youth People’s Choice – Carsen Vickers; Children Best of Show and Children People’s Choice – Lance Holloway.
