Leadership Shelby County
Leadership Shelby County is a year long program designed to identify potential leaders and develop within these individuals the knowledge, skills and vision necessary to enable them to actively participate in the enhancement of the quality of life in their communities.
The Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Ambassador program was established in September of 1984. The purpose of the Ambassador organization is to assist the Chamber with various projects and to act as official hosts for ground breaking ceremonies, greeting VIPs that visit the area, open house events, dedication ceremonies, new business openings and special events and annual meetings.
Shelby County Junior Chamber of Commerce
The Shelby County Junior Chamber of Commerce and the Young Ambassadors program was established in 1996. The Junior Chamber of Commerce is comprised of all Shelby County school districts with students in the 8th to 12th grades that meet the criteria. The purpose is to assist the Shelby County Chamber of Commerce and the Shelby County Ambassadors in various projects and opportunities of hospitality and service. Members represent their schools and the Chamber when assisting in Chamber related events. Members of the Junior Chamber of Commerce also assist in many community events that are sponsor and committee approved.
